Katja Kulmakorpi, Heinätin Designer

In our family business, I work as a designer of the Heinätin Hay Feeders and as an innovator of new products. My work is part of my horse hobby.

Since 1990 I have gained experience in horses from hanging out in stables as a child and later working in stables, all the way to owning horses and running my own small stable. This is how horses became a way of life for me.

I have Master Degree of Business Administration. As my major Human Resource Management & organization, which will benefit my job to solve our customers hay feeding problems. I am also currently studying to become a Life Coach, because I want to help our clients build their own kind of stable Life and business.

My motto: You don’t have to follow old habits - think outside the box and make your stable fit for you and your customers.

Jarkko Kulmakorpi, Heinätin Hay Feeder Specialist and CEO

My experience in the horse product industry has been gained mainly through my wife’s hobby.
My job is to solve our customers' technical problems in feeding horses. That’s where the whole company started when, together with my wife, we developed feeding solutions for our horse who suffered from a stomach ulcer and needed dense hay feeding solutions.

My main job is elsewhere, regarding locomotive technology. Also my hobbies include working with various technical devices. I think I am easily approachable and funny guy who happily helps customers in all matters. Especially in different feeding solutions.

Motorsport, especially with motorbikes, is my passion. In the past I have gathered my technical skills as a Road Racing mechanic at the World Championship level.

Aimo, Head of product testing

E.V Armastus, also known as Aimo, is a 12 years old Finnish horse. Since 2015, it has had a variety of Heinätin hay feeders in use.

Dense hay feeding prevents stomach upsets such as stomach ulcers and Aimo is a good example of how a healthy stomach helps with performance.

Aimo lives together with a pony Diva Lill in the paddock where hay feeding is arranged automatically using Heinätin Hay Feeders. They get hay at least nine times a day, including at night.
